3rd Seminar of the Forest Floristic Inventory of Santa Catarina
The 3rd Santa Catarina Forest Floristic Inventory Seminar took place on November 23, 2022, in Florianópolis-SC, at the Tito Sena Auditorium (FAED/UDESC). The seminar aimed to share the results of measurements in 303 Sample Units of the 2nd IFFSC Cycle, carried out between 2014 and 2019.

25th edition of IUFRO - Curitiba/PR
The 25th edition of IUFRO (International Union of Forest Research Organizations) took place from September 29 to October 5, 2019, in Curitiba-PR at Expo Unimed Curitiba. The event was organized by the Brazilian Forest Service and Embrapa and was attended by more than 2500 scientists from more than 90 countries.
The IFFSC's team made a total of 4 oral presentations and 5 poster presentations, as follows:

Adding value to forest products of secondary atlantic forests in Southern Brazil

IV National Forest Inventory Symposium - Goiânia / GO
The IV National Forest Inventory Symposium was organized by the Brazilian Forest Service together with Embrapa and Universidade Federal de Goiás; it was sponsored by Banco Interamericano de Desenvolvimento and FAO (United Nations Food and Agriculture) and supported by the Profloresta Project, Ministério do Planejamento, and European Union.

The II National Forest Inventory Symposium took place in Curitiba-PR. Advances of the Brazilian NFI were presented.
The event was not focused only on the National Forest Inventory, but also on other initiatives and projects related to forest inventory.

I National Forest Inventory Symposium - Natal / RN
The I National Forest Inventory Symposium was organized by the Brazilian Forest Service (SFB) in partnership with Embrapa Florestas.
The event collected experiences related to state-level inventories conducted in the context of the Brazilian National Forest Inventory.
About 50 participants from Brazil attended the event; an international participant came from abroad -- Anne Branthomme, FAO / Rome.

Seminar in May 2011
The "2nd Workshop on Forest Inventory" aimed to create a discussion forum on forest inventories and floristic surveys. The results of four years of work done by the IFFSC were presented. After the presentations, a discussion about the IFFSC's results with external collaborators and consultants of the IFFSC was conducted. The role of the results in forest policies and conservation of forest resources of Santa Catarina were also discussed. There were presentations related to the identification of new demands and research themes, such as climate change scenarios, payment for environmental services, and forest management.
